Garmin has unveiled the Vivoactive 4 and Vivoactive 4S smartwatch with Pulse OX sensor and better health and fitness features. Vivoactive 4 comes in 45mm size while 4S has 40mm size. Both are equipped with same features except the battery backup.

While Vivoactive 4 can last for 8 days in smartwatch mode 4S drops down to 7 days, with GPS and music features in play they can last up to 6 hours and 5 hours respectively. They both have same sized transflective screens with many color options and metal finishes to choose from.

The interesting addition is Garmin’s new animated workouts with over 40 workouts including Yoga, Pilates, Cardio etc. You can download additional workouts from its Connect IQ platform and build custom workouts too. Its in-built GPS is able to track over 20 built-in outdoor and indoor workouts and the intensity levels is measured by Garmin’s Elevate heart rate monitor.

It also features HR monitor onboard to gain richer sleep data and can be used for Garmin’s Body Battery features to help better access your energy levels. The Pulse OX sensor measures oxygen levels in the body which enables users to produce more accurate sleep quality data by activating new respiration tracking. It offers new mindful breathing features including a range of different breathing plans. The new safety and incident features from Garmin are great for safety while you are out tracking solo.

The plethora of smartwatch features include notification alerts, Garmin Pay, ability to create your own watch faces and access to Connect IQ store. You can transfer your own tunes and music from Spotify, Deezer etc. to the built-in music player of Vivoactive 4. They are on a pricier side than their predecessors and are on sale now on Garmin website for $349.99.
