Huami has used IFA platform very well for showcasing its latest smartwatches. Amazfit GTR is one such smartwatch which is a big win at IFA. It will be first launched in China and later worldwide. It will be available in two sizes, 42mm and 47mm.
The 42mm GTR will come in a standard variant with Black, Pink and White color option and a special variant with white leather strap. The 47mm GTR has aluminum alloy and stainless steel versions with brown leather straps and a titanium version with fluoro rubber strap. Along with the there is a limited edition Iron Man variant too with 47mm casing.
Both of this watches have circular AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The 42mm boasts 1.2-inch display with 390 x 390 pixel resolution while the later has 1.39 inch display with 454 x 454 pixel resolution. Both of this watches are compatible with android 5.0 and above and iOs 10.0 and above. Both of them are also water-resistant up to 50 meters making them suitable for pool or open water source.
These smartwatches have sports tracking at their core supported by in-built GPS/GLONASS for outdoor mapping. For advanced heart rate monitoring they have BioTracker PPG bio-optical sensors onboard. They pack bunch of sensors including Air Pressure Sensor, Ambient Light Brightness sensor, Capacitive Sensor, 6-Axis Accelerometer, 3 Axial Geomagnetic Sensor.
These smartwatches have a great battery life. The 42mm is powered by a 195mAh battery which lasts for 12 days on normal usage and up to 34 days in basic watch mode. While the 47mm one is fueled by a 410mAh battery which can last for up to 24 days with normal usage and up to 74 days in basic watch mode.
The standard variant of Amazfit GTR 42mm costs 799 Yuan while standard variant is priced 999Yuan. The standard versions of 47mm are priced 999 Yuan while the titanium version and Iron Man special edition come with a price tag of 1399Yuan.
