To give Apple Watch Series 5, Movado has unveiled its newest smartwatch, the Movado Connect 2.0 on the same day the Apple Watch Series 5 went on sale. Movado Connect 2.0 runs on Google’s Wear OS and also includes a heart rate monitor. Efraim Grinberg, CEO of the Movado Group said in a statement, ”These are beautifully designed smartwatches enhanced with Google’s cutting-edge technology”.

This watch comes in 40mm and 42mm variants and is available in 15 styles. Its always-on AMOLED screen can be customized with hundreds of customizable watch faces.

Connect 2.0 runs on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 3100 processor and comes with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of storage.  It has battery life of two to four days and works with both Android and iOs devices. As it is a Wear OS smartwatch it comes with features like Google Assistant, activity tracking by Google Fit, NFC payments with Google Pay and other fancy stuff. Other features include a heart rate monitor, in-built GPS and accelerometer.

The Movado Connect 2.0 smartwatches start at $495 while Apple Watch Series 5 starts at $399. It is already available for pre-order online and will be available for sell in stores in October.
