Huami helps to build Xiaomi\u2019s fitness trackers and the same legacy is seen in its smartwatches. Although it is very reasonably priced it is not like any other cheap Chinese clone instead a very premium smartwatch with great fitness features and excellent battery life. It comes with a square aluminum watch case with rounded corners with a 20mm silicone bracelet. It looks very cool and is available in six different colors to choose from. It weighs only 24.8 g without straps so it feels very comfortable on wrists throughout the day.<\/p>\n<div class=\"su-quote su-quote-style-default\"><div class=\"su-quote-inner su-u-clearfix su-u-trim\"><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 16pt;\">It has 5ATM water-resistance so it can be worn during showers, rains or swimming.<\/span><\/div><\/div>\n<p>GTS boasts 1.65-inch AMOLED display which is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3 and the 2.5D is slightly rounded on the sides. The always-on display is very crisp and sharp with a resolution of 348 x 442 pixels and 341 ppi pixel density. The display quality is slightly better than Apple Watch 4\u2019s 326 ppi pixel density but it is a good selling point for GTS.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Software_Sensors\"><\/span><strong>Software &amp; Sensors<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>GTS runs on Amazfit\u2019s own OS and doesn\u2019t have an internal memory which refers to its limitations. You don\u2019t get many apps and features like in Wear OS watches but it has a positive impact on battery life. There are five modules on the watch face and more than 100 different watch faces for customization.<\/p>\n<p>It uses Bluetooth 5.0 for better connectivity with smartphones and GPS and GLONASS for determining position. Unfortunately, there is no Wi-Fi chip and the NFC is integrated only for Chinese users. These modes include a walking mode, a jogging mode (indoor &amp; outdoor), cycling (indoor &amp; outdoor), stepping, skiing or free training and swimming (thanks to 5ATM water-resistance). Corresponding data like distance, speed or calorie consumption are analyzed in the respective modes.<\/p>\n<div class=\"su-quote su-quote-style-default\"><div class=\"su-quote-inner su-u-clearfix su-u-trim\"><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 16pt;\">Amazfit GTS smartwatch also features sleep monitoring or motion tracking which is lacking in Apple Watch Series 4.<\/span><\/div><\/div>\n<p>Health tracking is very much accurate on this as it the BioTracker PPG high-precision biological tracking sensor along with Huami\u2019s self-developed algorithm for high-precise and continuous monitoring of heart-rate throughout the day. During exercise, it can also provide fat-burning interval, heart rate interval vibration alarm, high heart rate, and other functions.<\/p>\n<p>Other functions include typical clock functions such as alarm, music control, weather display, and notifications.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Battery_Life\"><\/span><strong>Battery Life<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>The <strong>220mAh battery<\/strong> of GTS lasts for up to 14 days on normal usage with Bluetooth, heart rate monitor and GPS and only about 24 hours with GPS permanently activated. It can go up to one and a half months without all these sensors and functions. Also, the long battery life is a great selling point and offers great convenience.
