Fitbit needs no introduction. It is one of the leading and most popular fitness band brands globally. The company has made fitness bands popular worldwide, and after seeing its rapid growth, Google has acquired it. In 2021, Google acquired Fitbit, and after a long wait of two years, Google unveiled the first product under its ownership. The Fitbit Charge 6 is the predecessor to the Charge 5, but it has multiple upgrades, especially related to software, application support, and, of course, user experience. Let’s discuss the most advanced Fitbit in detail.

Fitbit Charge 6 Key Specs

Fitbit is already known for providing premium features and specs; thus, Google has not touched the core of Fitbit’s specs. For example, the Fitbit Charge 6 comes with Fitbit’s own Operating System rather than Google’s Wear OS. Fitbit’s OS is already clean and highly appreciated by users. Similarly, Google has not done major upgrades in the design and display. It comes with the same color AMOLED panel with excellent brightness. However, Google has taken care of the user’s demand for a physical button. The Fitbit Charge 6 has a physical button for navigation.

Coming to health monitoring, the device has advanced sensors for heart rate, sleep, blood oxygen, and temperature monitoring in real-time. Google has also integrated a more advanced, optimized, and efficient processor, increasing overall performance. Now, when it comes to software upgrades, the Fitbit Charge 6 comes with 20 more exercises, increasing the total count to 60. Like Fitbit Charge 5, it has GPS for accurate fitness metrics. The band is water-resistant. Interestingly, Google has expanded its fitness monitoring capabilities by providing Gym equipment support.

Firstly, Google has expanded its application support by offering Google Maps, Google Wallet, YouTube Music, and many more applications. Secondly, Google has integrated AI and ML techniques for 60% more accurate health readings. These techniques and mechanisms are common in the latest Google Pixel watches. Lastly, the device has an impressive battery life of up to 7 days.

Fitbit Charge 6 Launch Date & Price

Google has unveiled the Fitbit Charge 6 along with its launch date and price. Though the Fitbit Charge 6 is much more advanced and feature-loaded than its predecessor, its price is lower. The Fitbit Charge 6 price is set to $160 only, which includes 6 months of Fitbit Premium and one month of Youtube Premium subscription. Google will launch the device in 30 countries on 12th October, and the device is open for pre-orders on Fitbit’s official website.
