Xiaomi’s sub-brand Huami unveiled two new smartwatches at IFA 2019. First one is Amazfit Stratos 3 which has a rugged design and is meant for outdoor adventurers and next to the Amazfit GTS with an Apple Watch like the design.

Amazfit Stratos 3

Amazfit Stratos 3 is a sports smartwatch and will be launched outside of China.  It is all set to make it tough for smartwatch brands like Garmin and Suunto. It is made for people indulged in outdoor activities so has a rugged design with breathable silicon straps. It has four physical buttons so you can access it easily with sweaty hands or when you have big gloves on. It has a 1.34-inch transflective display for better visibility in direct sunlight.

You can take it up to 50 meters underwater as it comes with 5ATM water-resistance rating. For tracking your exercises and indoor and outdoor activities it has GPS onboard and 19 sports modes. It also features a heart-rate monitor and Firstbeat powered Heart rate-based training analytics like VO2 Max, exercise load and recovery data.

Stratos 3 also offers features like notification support and a big battery life. It’s dual-core system intelligently swaps the watch between normal and endurance modes, without switching off your access to core features offering you a 14-day battery life. It will be also priced reasonably like previous Stratos watches.

Amazfit GTS

Amazfit GTS is a good Apple Watch Series 4 alternative with square-format design. It houses a slightly curved 2.5D screen and aluminum alloy body. It features 1.65-inch AMOLED display with 348 x 442-pixel resolution and 341ppi pixel density which is slightly higher than Apple Watch 4. It weighs just 24.8g with a thickness of 9.4mm making it slightly thinner and lighter than Apple Watch Series 4.

You can choose your pick from six different color options. Its screen is protected by Gorilla Glass 3 encased in a steel frame. It is also waterproof to 5ATM and comes with 12 different sports mode for sports tracking. It also supports NFC payments and a heart rate sensor for all-day monitoring.

It sports a 220mAh battery which can last for up to 14 days with standard usage and with continuous GPS and GLONASS tracking you can use it up to 25 hours over a single charge. Ahead of its release in September, it is already available for pre-booking in China with a price tag of CNY 899 ($125).
